The generous drip pan was designed to catch melting candle wax, while the handle allowed the candlestick to be carried from room to room. Chambersticks were once familiar household objects, particularly useful in bedrooms and hallways before electric lighting became commonplace.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMade in India, the chamberstick still has its original paper safety label on the underside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eINSPIRATION\u003cbr\u003eI particularly like the weight of this chamberstick and its unusually wide saucer. There is plenty of room around the candle cup for a few small seasonal decorations or a book of matches.
