ABOUT THIS PIECE
The rounded body is decorated with large embossed floral motifs, while the ornate openwork handle adds an elegant finishing touch. The domed lid screws securely into place and features a pierced star pattern designed for sprinkling sugar.

The base is marked "Quadruple National S Co 33." "Quadruple plate" refers to a manufacturing technique used during the Victorian and early twentieth century in which four times more silver was applied during the plating process. Although promoted as a mark of quality, the plated layer could still be thin and could wear over time, making well-preserved examples especially desirable today.

INSPIRATION
Use it as a distinctive piece of antique tableware or display it with other silverplate pieces in a kitchen or dining-room collection.

CONDITION
Overall bright shine with a small area of silver loss shown in the close-up photo. The interior is very clean, with discoloration around the holes on the inside of the lid. The lid screws on and off easily.
