ABOUT THIS PIECE
Made by Gibsons of Staffordshire, England, this 1960s teapot has a deeply fluted body with a rounded, pumpkin-like form. Sprays of roses in pink and plum deepened by dramatic black shading are scattered across the creamy glazed surface, with small white flowers and green foliage. Gold detailing outlines the spout and handle and finishes the rim and rounded lid finial.
INSPIRATION
