ABOUT THIS PIECE
The design is built from repeating circular medallions joined by open crochet, with smaller motifs filling the spaces between them. A broad scalloped border continues around the runner and forms softly rounded corners. The combination of denser medallions and airy connecting work gives the pattern plenty of definition without making the runner feel heavy.
INSPIRATION
A 52" runner is an especially useful size for a sideboard, credenza, dresser, or smaller dining table where it can anchor lamps, books, candlesticks, or vases. Placing it over dark wood or another contrasting surface emphasizes the openwork and warm ecru color.
