CONDITION
Very good vintage condition. Green felt on the bases has deteriorated with areas of loss but remains functional.
ABOUT THIS PIECE
Stamped "1003" with a partial maker's mark, these bookends are attributed to Blodgett Studio of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, based on comparison with documented examples bearing the same mold number and more legible Blodgett Studio markings. One bookend also retains its original retailer label from The Book Shop in Joliet, Illinois.
INSPIRATION
Their small size and substantial weight make these bookends especially well suited to antique books, smaller hardcovers, or a short stack of favorite books without taking up unnecessary shelf space.
