CONDITION
Good vintage condition with light scratches and areas of finish wear, particularly along the handle and exposed edges, revealing hints of the brass underneath. No structural damage noted.
ABOUT THIS PIECE
This compact brass pitcher has a full rounded body that narrows into a tall neck before opening into a gently flared pouring lip. A slender curved handle follows the pitcher’s profile from the upper neck to the rounded body.
The satiny black finish covers both the interior and exterior, with just a hint of warm brass showing through along some of the worn edges. That subtle contrast adds to the piece’s appeal and gives the simple black surface more character. Two fine incised rings circle the shoulder, while subtle stepped bands shape the lower body above the base. Unmarked.
INSPIRATION
Its small scale and strong silhouette make it particularly useful for shelf or mantel styling. It is also watertight and can hold fresh flowers as well as dried or faux stems.
