Excellent vintage condition. Sturdy and rust-free. The basket has a slight wobble when resting on a flat surface.

ABOUT THIS PIECE
The wire has aged to a soft metallic gray finish that remains clean and rust-free, giving the basket a quietly refined utilitarian character. A slender natural wood twig is incorporated into the basket's structure, with the vertical wires looping around it to form the rim. The swinging handle passes through a second set of wire loops above the twig, allowing it to move freely without rubbing directly against the wood. 

INSPIRATION
Originally designed for gathering eggs, this piece transitions beautifully through the seasons. It is equally useful for harvesting fresh herbs and garden produce during the summer and fall, or organizing potatoes, onions, and root vegetables on a cool pantry shelf during the winter months.
